  The Sky and the Crow

A tale from the Bhagavata Purana:

A crow once flew into the sky with a piece of meat in its beak.

Twenty crows set out in pursuit of it and attacked it viciously.

The crow finally let the piece of meat drop. Its pursuers then left it alone and flew shrieking after the morsel.

Said the crow, "I've lost the meat and gained this peaceful sky."

Emerson stated in his essay Compensation that for everything you lose, you gain something.

P.S: Very true !Often times what seems a loss is actually a gain.

The Wise crow knew it was better to let go of the piece of meat instead of ending up as meat!! Giving up the food saved its life.

In fact, loss and gain are both catalysts for change….depends on how it is perceived.

Thank you for visiting the TREASURE TROVE today.
